Binance to delist several perpetual futures contracts

Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency News

Binance recently announced that it will delist several perpetual futures contracts, including STP, Status, MovieBlock, Radworks, and Convex. This decision aims to adapt to market conditions and enhance trading security for users. Traders are urged to review their strategies to prevent potential liquidation of positions, especially regarding leverage settings.

Binance Futures Trading Updates

Effective May 13, Binance will no longer allow new positions on contracts for STPTUSDT, SNTUSDT, MBLUSDT, RADUSDT, and CVXUSDT. Additionally, Binance Futures Trading may implement further protective measures at any time, such as altering leverage limits, position values, maintenance margins, and other adjustments without prior notice.

Legal Issues Involving Binance

Changpeng Zhao, the founder of Binance, was sentenced to four months in prison for involvement in money laundering and unlawful activities. The sentencing, which was lighter than expected, was delayed and caused speculation within the cryptocurrency community. Despite the prosecution’s request for 36 months in prison, Zhao’s actual sentence was shorter.
